STADIUM ACCESS DETAILS FOR CAMBRIDGE UNITED TIE

7 December 2016

Turnstile, access and security arrangements for Cambridge United Checkatrade Trophy Round Two (07.12.16)

Bradford City welcomes Cambridge United to the Northern Commercials Stadium this Wednesday (7 December 2016) evening in the Checkatrade Trophy.

With both clubs on a good run of form, the game promises to be an exciting affair and with the Club’s agreeing to attractive ticket prices, we are hoping home fans will get behind the tournament and attend in good numbers.

As always, we would ask spectators to get to the stadium as early as possible - with security checks taking place and cash entry being available, the entry process will be slower than for a usual league game, so please don’t leave your arrival until the last minute.

Turnstiles will be open from 6.30pm.

For the home fans, two sections of the stadium will be open - the JCT 600 West Stand lower section and the lower section of the North Stand Kop.

Tickets are available now at the Club’s main ticket office and turnstile W3 (which is the one closest to Valley Parade) will be allocated for tickets only to allow easy access.

There will also be a cash option on the night with turnstiles W4-W6 and W11-W13 being allocated for cash entries into the JCT 600 Stand and N5-N8 for access to the North Stand Kop (please note that there will be no turnstiles open for the Kop on Midland Road for tonight’s game).

Tickets are attractively priced with adults at £10 and £5 for concessions (under 16s, over 60s and students with a valid NUS card).  All seating will be on an unreserved basis with every supporter receiving a match ticket which they should keep for the duration of the game.

As always, we would ask supporters not to bring bags to the match but where this cannot be avoided, please note all bags will be searched prior to entry.

This may slow down the entry process a little, so spectators are asked to co-operate with stewards as they carry out this important task.

Bags checks will be conducted at every point of entry to the stadium including turnstiles and banqueting facilities.

We would also remind supporters that season ticket and flexi-cards are not valid for this game.

Being a cup-tie, supporters can only gain access to the stadium by having a pre-paid match ticket in their possession or by paying cash at the turnstile.

So, for Wednesday evening’s home game against Cambridge United (kick-off 7.45pm), the following entrances are the easiest way to gain entry to the stadium:

For the JCT 600 West Stand

  • Supporters with a pre-paid match ticket should make their way to turnstiles W3.  This is situated in the Directors’ car park and is the first turnstile as you enter the car park from Valley Parade.
  • Supporters who wish to pay cash on the night in the JCT 600 Stand can enter via turnstiles W4 to W6 or W11 to W13.  For adult entries only at £10 each, W6, W11 and W12 will be available.  Turnstiles W4-W5 and W13 will take both £10 and £5 cash entries to enable family groups to stay together as they enter the stadium.

For the North Stand Kop

  • Supporters with a pre-paid match ticket can enter via any of the turnstiles N5-N8.
  • Supporters who wish to pay cash on the night on the Kop can enter via turnstiles N5-N8.  For adult entries only at £10 each N8 will be available.  Turnstiles N5-N7 will take both £10 and £5 cash entries to enable family groups to stay together as they enter the stadium.

For supporters with disabilities, the usual accessible areas in the JCT 600 West Stand Lower will be available.  The areas on the JCT 600 West Stand Lower section can be accessed through Gate WD on Valley Parade or through the 1911 Club reception via the lift.  The area in Block M of the JCT 600 West Stand Upper section will also be available but only to supporters who use a wheelchair.  The usual policy will apply to this game with the disabled person being charged the rate for their age with free access for their carer/companion.  Access to the North Stand Kop for supporters with disabilities will also be available in the normal way via the One-in-a-Million school compound and through Gate NC/ND.

Late turnstiles
There will be two late turnstiles on the JCT 600 Stand which will remain open until half-time.  W3 will stay open late for any match ticket holders and W4 will provide late entry for any cash payers.  In addition, any late arrivals for the North Stand Kop can gain access with tickets or by paying cash through turnstile N5.

Road closures and car breaks-ins

There will be no road closure in place on Midland Road for this game.  Please try to ensure that when you park your vehicle it is secure when you leave it and that any valuables are either removed from the car entirely or placed out of sight while your car is parked up for the game.  As we approach the Christmas period, thieves may target the area and we offer this advice to try and avoid supporters having their visit to the stadium spoiled in this way.  If you do suffer any crime of this type while attending the game, please report the problem to West Yorkshire Police immediately by calling the non-emergency 101 number.

Northern Commercials Stadium is a no-smoking arena

We would also like to take this opportunity of reminding all supporters that, in accordance with legislation and EFL regulations, the entire stadium is a no-smoking area.  This includes the viewing areas, concourses, toilets and stairways.  In addition, the Club has imposed a ban on the use of e-cigarettes within the stadium.  We would request that all supporters abide by the bans that are in place for all tobacco products and e-cigarettes for every home game.

Live streaming match footage

The Club would like to remind all supporters that it is against the EFL ground regulations for live action of the game to be photographed, recorded or streamed live.  The Club have been reminded of their obligations by the EFL and any spectator contravening the regulations may be ejected and face a Club ban.  The co-operation of all spectators in adhering to the EFL regulations would be much appreciated.

Enjoy the game!
