EXCLUSIVE JAMES HANSON INTERVIEW - 300 NOT OUT!

19 February 2016

Long-serving Bantams striker James Hanson has spoken of his delight at reaching 300 games for Bradford City in an exclusive in-depth interview with the club.

After reaching the milestone in the recent 4-0 win at Peterborough United, Hanson - the club's current long-serving player - sat down with City's Chief Operating Officer James Mason to go through some of the many highlights of his Bantams career so far.

Reaching the milestone of 300 games in City colours, Hanson joins a select list of players who have made that about of appearances for the club.

Not only has Hanson netted 84 times for the Bantams, making him one of the club's all-time top scorers in the process, but the striker has arguably been responsible for some of the most important goals in the City's recent history, including winners against Aston Villa and Leeds United in memorable Capital One Cup ties.

Not bad for a lad who used to work at the Co-op!

Hanson said: "I never thought I would reach this landmark (300 games). At the start it was a dream just to play for Bradford.

"I really love it here and I just try to give it my all. My dad tends to keep me up to date with stats like when I entered the top ten for goalscorers at the club.

"I could never have imagined the roller-coaster ride I'd have after signing here.

"To have one major event or major match would have been amazing, so I have been very fortunate to have experienced four or five big occasions."
