PARKINSON REFLECTS ON TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY DEALS

2 February 2016

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has reflected on a transfer deadline day that saw City complete a permanent transfer for one player and another leave for a fellow Sky Bet League 1 side.

Following a brief period on loan with the Bantams, Jamie Proctor became a full time member of Parkinson's squad after signing a contract with City until the end of the season this Monday evening.

On the same day, Bantams midfielder Gary Liddle joined Chesterfield for an undisclosed fee. City also agreed to terminate the loan deal of Peterborough United striker Luke James, allowing him to move to Hartlepool United.

Parkinson said: "Lidds (Gary Liddle) is a good player and a great professional but Chesterfield made a good offer financially for a player who only had five months left on his current contract.

"The loan window opens up again a week's time and we'll be looking to do some more business then.

"We also have Lee Evans coming back from suspension after Saturday, and Billy Knott gave us some extra spark at the weekend (vs Fleetwood) as well.

"Jamie (Proctor) is very keen to do well and push for a place here. We want that competition for places at the top end of the pitch.

"We felt recently that we had to freshen things up a bit with our attacking options, and the arrivals of Jamie and Wes (Thomas) should help."
