PARKINSON STEPPING UP HIS SEARCH

9 February 2016

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson says that the search is on to add to his squad now that the emergency loan window has re-opened.

Following transfer deadline day a week last Monday, Football League clubs can now once again bring in players on loan for a period of up to 93 days.

Although Wolves loanee midfielder Lee Evans will be available to City for this Saturday's trip to Peterborough United following a recent three-match suspension, Parkinson is still on the look-out for another player to give City extra competition in the middle of the pitch.

As well as heading to the ABAX Stadium this Wednesday to watch Peterborough take on West Bromwich Albion in an Emirates FA Cup replay, Parkinson has also been busy casting his eye over other matches this week as his hunt for a midfielder goes on.

Parkinson said: "Now the (emergency) loan window is open, we have to make sure we are strong in midfield for the remainder of the season.

"We have Evo (Lee Evans) back this week following suspension which is a bonus for us. We are striving for the best combination in that midfield area.

"We've been looking at players but it is a case of getting someone who is good enough to come straight in and stake a claim."
