PARKINSON: FAN POWER CAN GIVE US A GREAT CHANCE TONIGHT

19 January 2016

Ahead of tonight’s (Tuesday 19 January 2016) Emirates FA Cup third round replay with Bury, manager Phil Parkinson is urging every City fan that can come along to do so and share in what could be another special evening of cup football!

With many similarities already to last year’s FA Cup exploits, the Bantams face a stern test tonight after the 0-0 first encounter, with the winners facing Championship high flyers Hull City in the next round. A game that for either side would mean a well-attended home tie.

Speaking exclusively to www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk, Parkinson was keen to stress how important the fans are on such occasions. He said: "Cup nights under the lights are always special and with it being a replay the tie has to be settled tonight.

"Hopefully we can get as many people in the ground as possible to cheer on the players and give us the best chance of getting through!

"You look at this stage of the FA Cup last year and the similarities with the Millwall replay are there to see. The crowd that night was electric, one of the best I’ve witnessed as we asked the fans to be the difference and they were. It was a huge help, creating a terrific atmosphere in the stadium and look how well we responded to that support!

“We’re really looking forward to the game. All the lads have been buzzing around the training ground in the last few days because obviously we’ve got some great memories of the FA Cup from last year, the biggest cup competition in world football!

"There’s probably going to be a decent amount of Bury fans coming and so we would like our fans to outnumber them and of course be as loud and supportive as they can. I understand we had more away fans at Bury than they had home fans so it would be nice to reward all Bantams fans with a victory tonight and be a part of what could be a special evening."

A reminder that fans can pay on the gates tonight (Tuesday) with prices as follows:

Adults: £15.00Concessions (Over 60s, Students with valid NUS card): £10.00

Under 16s: £5.00

Disabled supporters will be asked to pay the relevant price from the list above (i.e. £15.00 for an adult ticket) with a free carer's ticket also included subject to DLA.

Suite upgrades must be purchased from the ticket office.Fans can also upgrade to one of our supporters’ suites for £5.00 extra per ticket.

Tonight's replay will go to extra time if the scores remain level after ninety minutes. The tie will then be decided by the taking of penalty kicks should the two sides still be level after extra time.

To whet the appetite ahead of tonight's big replay, here's a reminder of exactly what happened in that Millwall tie just over a year ago!
