CITY TO TAKE A LOOK AT AVENUE

26 July 2016

The Bantams are expected to use their pre-season friendly with Bradford Park Avenue on Wednesday (27 July 2016 - kick off 7:30pm) as an opportunity to look at some hopefuls currently within their squad.

With City set for their final friendly of the summer at home to Carlisle United on Saturday, Bantams boss Stuart McCall is likely to field a number of trialists, apprentices and first year professionals against Avenue at Horsfall Stadium.

Joe Cracknell and German shot-stopper Rouven Sattelmaier will share the goalkeeping duties, while Daniel Devine and Reece Webb-Foster are also scheduled to feature.

James Meredith and James Hanson were both involved in parts of training this Tuesday after missing recent friendly fixtures due to minor injures.

All being well, the duo will now be targeting the Carlisle fixture for a possible return.

McCall said: "They have both come through good sessions with the physio and they are running well. They are chomping at the bit to be back playing.

"The plan is to have them available for Saturday."
