CITY RETURN TO TRAINING

30 June 2016

Stuart McCall's Bantams returned to training for the first time this pre-season on Thursday.

Following last season's Play-Off campaign, City's players reconvened at Apperley Bridge to begin their preparations for the forthcoming 2016/2017 campaign.

This Thursday's sessions were the first opportunity for McCall and assistant Kenny Black to get out on the training pitch to work with the players since their arrival at the club earlier this month.

Sporting the club's red Avec training wear, recent signing Nicky Law joined up with his new team-mates for the first time.

Fresh penning his new one-year deal, Nathan Clarke was also among McCall's squad for day one of summer training.

First year professionals Reece Webb-Foster and Daniel Devine were present as well for their first day with the senior squad.

Defensive duo Stephen Darby and Rory McArdle reported back with the rest of the group but they were unable to take part in training as they continued their rehab from injury.

City's first friendly of pre-season will take place at Guiseley on Saturday 9 July.

Look out on Bantams Player HD later today for footage from City's first day back to work.
