Originally scheduled for Saturday 15 April 2017, the Sky Bet League One fixture will now take place twenty-four hours earlier on (Good Friday) 14 April.
The kick off will remain at 3:00pm.
The decision to move the game will now allow Stuart McCall's men an extra day to prepare for their Easter Monday fixture at Sheffield United on 17 April.
Oxford's trip to Valley Parade next season will be their first since January 2013.
