Bantams boss Phil Parkinson knows there can be no let up from his players as they prepare to host an in-form Scunthorpe United side at the Coral Windows Stadium this Saturday.

Going into the final full month of the regular season, City welcome Graham Alexander's Scunthorpe to Valley Parade this weekend currently occupying the final Play-Off spot in Sky Bet League 1 following back-to-back wins over Easter.

With Scunthorpe having earned a creditable draw at Barnsley and then thrashed Swindon Town at home 6-0 in Alexander's first two games in charge over the Easter weekend though, Parkinson knows City will have to prepare themselves for a challenging fixture on Saturday.

The Bantams, who are likely to have Lee Evans and Josh Cullen back in contention following recent international duty, go into the game having won four out of their last five matches.

Parkinson said:"Easter was an excellent period for us.

"To follow up the Millwall win with another victory (at Crewe) just 48 hours later was very important.

"It was always going to be a challenge (playing two games in three days) but the players' concentration levels and discipline throughout both games were superb. The lads are highly motivated right now and ready for the challenges ahead.

"We are looking full of energy and full of running at the moment.

"We now look forward to Saturday's match against a tough Scunthorpe side.

"With Graham having just come in a couple of weeks ago and following their large win over Swindon, Scunthorpe will be difficult opponents at the weekend.

"We will need to produce another committed performance if we wish to get another positive result. We will have to be ready for a side who will naturally be lifted by their result last time out.

"We cannot rest on our laurels for one minute - we have to keep driving on.

"The lads look in a good place at the moment but we have to kick on again on and move things up a notch.

"It is all about raising the bar with every aspect of our performance.

"It is also important that we enjoy ourselves though. We go into this game full of confidence - these are the sort of matches you want to be involved in."
