Bantams boss Phil Parkinson says that City's preparations for the Play-Offs will begin on Sunday when they welcome Chesterfield to the Coral Windows Stadium for the final game of the regular season.

Having won at Southend United last Saturday, City go into this weekend's game with their spot in the end-of-season Play-Offs already secured.

Far from take their foot off the gas following this achievement, Parkinson says the Bantams must use Sunday's match as an opportunity to keep some momentum going ahead of their forthcoming semi-final dates.

The City boss said: "Stage one is complete, getting into the Play-Offs, the next stage of our season starts on Sunday.

"The aim is obviously to try and get into that fourth spot but we'll look forward to the Play-Offs regardless of where we finish or who we play.

"We have to enjoy Sunday but in the knowledge that we also need to go into the Play-Offs in good form.

"I'm sure the fans will be keen to show their appreciation to the players for getting us there.

"Equally, they (the supporters) have been tremendous with us over recent weeks and throughout the season really, so the lads will be keen to put on a performance for them."

Victory over Walsall last time out at Valley Parade two weeks ago was City's sixth home win on the trot in the league - something the club hasn't achieved since the 1995/1996 season.

The Bantams chief added: "That is another factor.

"It is not everyday you get the chance to win your seventh home league game on the spin. We have to do everything we can to achieve that.

"There is lots to play for in many ways on Sunday, we are really looking forward to the game.

"The early kick off is also a factor.

"We might have to play at a similar time in the Play-Offs next weekend so that is good preparation.

"For the players and the staff to be able to walk out at home with our Play-Off spot secured as well, that will also be enjoyable feeling.

"We will only enjoy the day completely though if we play well."
