City entertain Millwall at the Coral Windows Stadium this Sunday in the eagerly-anticipated first leg of their Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off semi-finals.
The Bantams could have as many as five players in their starting line up against Millwall from the group that successfully earned the club promotion from League 2 via the Play-Offs three years ago.
The likes of Paul Anderson, Nathan Clarke and Steven Davies have all had recent Play-Off experience at previous clubs as well.
On top of that, Parkinson was keen to point out that City's efforts in earlier important league fixtures this season could also hold his squad in good stead over the next week or so.
He said: "I feel that the Walsall game (4-0 win last month) in particular was a great practice for us.
"After only getting one point from two away games, we had teams trying to catch us for the Play-Offs and it added that little bit of extra pressure to the game.
"The way we stepped up and produced a big performance when it mattered though was very encouraging.
"We also have a lot of players who have featured in high-profile games in recent years. That experience is a great thing."
