Bantams boss Stuart McCall gave supporters a fitness update on his some of his players following Saturday's impressive 4-0 victory over Rochdale.

McCall revealed that Mark Marshall and Billy Clarke were both substituted during the second period at the Northern Commercials Stadium as a precaution after picking up minor injuries.

The City chief says Timothee Dieng's withdrawal, also after the break, was nothing to do injury though, simply an opportunity to give midfielder Daniel Devine some more match minutes.

McCall said: "Marshy just got caught on his ankle.

"It is hopefully nothing major though.

"We believe it is just a knock - nothing too sinister.

"Billy (Clarke) didn't want to come off either but he'd worked so hard for the team and he needed ice on his calf in the end.

"We unfortunately had a late call with Haris (Vuckic) on Friday - we had to pull him out of the (Rochdale) game.

"He obviously got caught in the Morecambe game and required a stitch on the top of his foot.

"He tried to train with it on the Friday but had to pull out. He was in too much discomfort and he didn't want to let anyone down.

"Tim was fine though. His substitution was just a case of getting young Danny (Devine) on the pitch really.

"If you can't get a young lad on the pitch at 4-0 up at home to give him more first team experience, you never will be able to."
