Webb-Foster netted with a brilliant header just past the half hour mark at Harrogate's CNG Stadium to level the match up after Darlington's Josh Gilles had given the visitors a third-minute lead.
Unfortunately for Webb-Foster and his new Harrogate team-mates, the goal couldn't prevent Darlington from eventually securing an impressive 4-1 victory, with former Bantam David Syers scoring the fourth for the Quakers.
Along with Syers, there were a number of other players with City connections on show during the game.
Simon Ainge and Joe Colbeck - both of whom played for City earlier in their career - joined Webb-Foster in Harrogate's starting line-up while goalkeeper Chris Elliott and striker Chib Chilaka were named on the bench.
Webb-Foster is currently on loan to Harrogate until 10 December.
The young forward, who in his first full season as a professional with the Bantams, has featured three times for City so far during the 2016/2017 campaign, twice from the bench.
He has also enjoyed a loan spell with Guiseley earlier this season.

His goal is approximately 3 minutes and eight seconds into the video.
