SQUAD UPDATE AHEAD OF SOUTHEND TRIP

17 November 2016

Bantams boss Stuart McCall says City can expect to have a virtually fully fit squad to choose from when they travel to Southend United this Saturday in Sky Bet League One.

Following the 1-1 draw between the two sides at the Northern Commercials Stadium last month, City and Southend are due to meet again at the weekend for their second match-up in quick succession.

After missing out of last Saturday's 4-0 victory over Rochdale due to a minor foot injury, Haris Vuckic is expected to be fit for the visit to Roots Hall.

Mark Marshall and Billy Clarke are also set to make up part of City's travelling party for the game despite picking up knocks during the Rochdale game.

Irish duo Colin Doyle and Josh Cullen will be up for selection as well after coming back unscathed from international duty.

Vincent Rabiega is sidelined with a minor groin strain while Tony McMahon is scheduled to return to full training on Monday following a recent thigh problem.

McCall said: "Josh (Cullen) played on Tuesday (for the Republic of Ireland U21s) and came through fine after playing the full ninety minutes.

"He is raring to go at a club that is not too far away from where he was born.

"We spoke to a couple of the guys in the senior Ireland set-up and they said Colin (Doyle) trained really well for them.

"He is now back on his usual training schedule with us here.

"After missing last Saturday, Haris was back training on Monday and he has trained well all week.

"Vincent Rabiega has a little muscle strain and will probably be out for roughly seven-to-ten days.

"Tony McMahon has been training well with the physios recently and he will hopefully join in full training with the rest of the boys on Monday."
