A dramatic injury time winner from James Hanson secured a memorable three points for City following an entertaining encounter at AFC Wimbledon.

With the scores level at 2-2 going into the second of fourth minutes of over-time, Hanson found himself in the right spot to latch onto a Stephen Darby cross and guide a glancing header past Dons 'keeper James Shea and into the far corner.

The Hanson header understandably sparked joyous scenes in the sold out away section, a stark contrast to City's last away fixture when they were on the receiving end of a last-gasp goal at Oxford United.

City's winner was Hanson's second of the afteroon after the striker had drawn the Bantams level earlier in the half from the penalty spot-kick following Shea's foul on Matthew Kilgallon inside the box.

Ahead of the late drama that was to come, City actually got off to a great start to their contest against a Wimbledon side that was eight games unbeaten going into the match.

Less than three minutes were on the clock when Jordy Hiwula swooped to fire Stuart McCall's side into the lead with a strike from just inside the box that deflected past Shea via Paul Robinson.

The Dons equalised fifteen minutes later when Tom Elliott pounced to lash past Colin Doyle by his near post with a fierce rising drive after George Francomb's free-kick had dropped into the striker's path.

The hosts continued their comeback with just over twenty minutes of normal time remaining when Lyle Taylor converted from the spot after Josh Cullen was judged to have felled Jake Reeves with a tackle inside the box.

Taylor's goal gave Wimbledon the advantage going into the game's closing stages but Hanson's penalty of his own twelve minutes from the end set up the fantastic finale for McCall's men.

45min: Getting the ball forward quickly, Wimbledon work a promising attack, finding themselves three on three with City's defence. 26min: Decent chance for Hiwula! Billy Clarke's clever little pass forward from just outside the box finds Hiwula in space inside the area and behind Wimbledon's defences.
