The Club is pleased to announce a firm date has been agreed with the contractors for the commissioning of the new scoreboard.
The installation has not been straightforward and several amendments to the foundations and steelwork have been necessary during the process.
Throughout that process, Bradford City has worked closely with the contractors and for a total of four home we have utilised the spaces we held back deliberately in Blocks F&G of the Northern Commercials Stand to accommodate visiting supporters.
This arrangement will also apply to this Saturday’s home game versus Shrewsbury Town.
The only purpose of moving the Away fans out of the TL Dallas South Stand has been to speed up the work by the contractors so that they did not have to de-rig and set-up before and after every home game.
With Sheffield United at the stadium on Saturday 22nd October 2016, this limited allocation for away fans will not work and therefore Sheffield United will receive the full allocation of tickets that can be made available from both levels of the TL Dallas South Stand and Blocks F&G of the Northern Commercials Stand.
Contrary to suggestions in some quarters, there will be no need for any home fans to be moved from their regular seats in the Northern Commercials Stand for the Sheffield United game.
The steelwork for the scoreboard is then scheduled to be installed after the Sheffield United game. The launch date for the new screen at the stadium has now been set as the Rochdale game on Saturday 12th November 2016.
