Bantams boss Stuart McCall has made four changes to his side for the visit of Southend United to the Northern Commercials Stadium.

Rory McArdle and Matthew Kilgallon will begin in defence, the duo both starting their first league game of the season tonight.

Kilgallon is scheduled to replace the injured James Meredith at left back.

McArdle's appearance at centre half is expected to allow skipper Romain Vincelot to move up into central midfield for the first time this campaign.

Up front, Haris Vuckic will support Marc McNulty in attack.

Nathan Clarke and the fit-again James Hanson are both named among City's substitutes for the game.
