Attendance: 18,615 (450 visitors)

The Bantams confirmed their place in the end-of-season play-offs with a comfortable victory over AFC Wimbledon at the Northern Commercials Stadium.

With City looking in control from the off, a Tony McMahon penalty and Mark Marshall effort on the stroke of half time put Stuart McCall's men in a strong position at the break. McMahon then made sure of the three points with a close range finish from a tight angle five minutes from time.

The win not only sealed a spot in the play-offs for the Bantams, it also meant McCall's men have now gone the entire league campaign unbeaten at home.

After an impeccable minute's silence pre-match to honour the victims of the 1985 Valley Parade fire disaster, City took charge of the contest early on.

Alex Jones and Charlie Wyke had early sighters before City were awarded a spot-kick just before the half hour mark when Josh Cullen was bundled over in the box.

McMahon made no mistake with the resulting spot-kick, firing emphatically into Wimbledon 'keeper Joe McDonnell's bottom right-hand corner.

The Bantams doubled their advantage in the last seconds of the first period when Marshall fired in from a wide position after turning away from Dons substitute Sean Kelly.

Wimbledon attacker Andy Barcham had a couple of efforts on goal after the restart as the visitors briefly tried to threaten a response, but City were soon back in control of proceedings.

Nicky Law and second half substitute Billy Clarke narrowly fired over from inside the box later in the half, while Wyke twice went close himself.

City's third of the afternoon eventually did come in the final stages when McMahon slotted in by O'Donnell's near post after his overlapping run was picked out by Marshall.

McMahon, who wore a black armband throughout the game in memory of Ugo Ehiogu, seemed to dedicate both of his goals to his former team-mate, who sadly passed away on Friday morning.

FT: Bradford City 3 AFC Wimbledon 0
90+2min: Hiwula fires the ball dangerously across the six yard box after beating Francomb but Kelly is in the right place to kick behind for a corner.
90+1min: McMahon and Clarke work a short corner out to Cullen just inside the box but the midfielder's low drive trickles wide of McDonnell's near post.
90min: There will be three minutes of time added on at the end of the match.
90min: From Wyke's flick on, Clarke goes for goal with an ambitious effort on the volley from distance but his connection isn't clean and the ball rolls through harmlessly to McDonnell.
89min: Taylor fires into the wall from a free-kick roughly twenty-five yards out before firing wide on the rebound with his second effort.
88min: Asked to shoot by the home crowd as he seeks an unlikely hat-trick, McMahon fires forwards but his shot-come-cross from outside the box sails into the crowd behind the goal.
85min: GOAL!!!!!!!!!! Bradford City 3 AFC Wimbledon 0 - McMahon makes it three for City! Marshall bursts forward into the Wimbledon penalty area from City's right flank. The winger feeds the overlapping run of McMahon and the right back fires in from a tight angle by McDonnell's near post!
82min: Dieng wins possession inside Wimbledon's box, feeding the ball into Clarke's path. Clarke fires for goal but his rising drive whistles narrowly over by McDonnell's near post.
78min: SUB - The Bantams bring on Jordy Hiwula for Law.
78min: Wyke heads over from McMahon's corner delivery into the box.
75min: Clarke plays a one-two with Marshall over on City's right flank but the substitute's early cross into the six yard box is just ahead of Wyke. Any meaningful touch for the striker would surely have resulted in a goal there.
73min: McMahon is back on the pitch as play continues.
73min: SUB - AFC Wimbledon bring on Alfie Egan for Parrett.
72min: SUB - As McMahon receives treatment, City bring on Billy Clarke for Jones.
72min: McMahon goes down and will need treatment after making a challenge over by City's right flank.
69min: So close from Law! Dieng goes to contest Marshall's cross into the box but he can't quite properly with a header. The ball drops into the path of Law about seven yards out but his fires over the bar.
64min: Taylor's rising shot on the turn from just inside the box sails some distance over the bar.
63min: After City clear his initial delivery into the box from the resulting corner, Dean Parrett crosses back into the box but Wyke does just enough to prevent Nightingale from connecting by the far post.
62min: Barcham's shot for goal from inside the box loops up via a deflection off a City player and bounces narrowly wide of Doyle's far post for a Wimbledon corner.
62min: SUB - With Vincelot already on a booking, Stuart McCall takes no chances and replaces the skipper with Timothee Dieng. McMahon will now take over the captain's duties.
59min: McMahon's lofted ball into the box isn't held by McDonnell, leading to a scramble in the visitors' penalty area. Meredith and Wyke try to fire for goal but Wimbledon eventually clear.
58min: YELLOW CARD - George Francomb is booked for a late lunge on Vincelot midway into Wimbledon territory.
57min: With 56 minutes up on the scoreboard, applause rings around the Northern Commercials Stadium to honour the 56 victims of the Valley Parade fire disaster.
57min: Poleon looks to turn away McArdle in the box after receiving the ball back to goal. Poleon turns forwards but McMahon gets his body in the way to shepherd the ball back to Doyle. Poleon goes down as McMahon takes possession of the ball but
55min: Barcham threatens again for Wimbledon. After driving in-field from their right wing, the attacker surges past McMahon and Vincelot before eventually being dispossessed deep inside the box by Rory McArdle.
51min: Barcham takes on McMahon before curling in a drive towards goal from just inside the box that is straight at Colin Doyle.
46min: AFC Wimbledon restart the match.
HT SUB - AFC Wimbledon bring on Dominic Poleon for Charles just ahead of the restart.
HT: Bradford City 2 AFC Wimbledon 0
45+3min: GOAL!!!!!!!!!!! Bradford City 2 AFC Wimbledon 0 - Marshall has doubled City's lead on the stroke of half time! After twisting and turning past Kelly out on City's right flank, the winger fires forwards with a cross-come-shot that whistles past McDonnell and into the corner of his net!
45+1min: As City pour forward on the counter-attack, James Meredith looks to get his head onto Marshall's testing cross into the middle but Wimbledon just about manage to clear before the left back can connect with the delivery.
45min: There will be three minutes of time added on at the end of the first half.
44min: SUB - AFC Wimbledon bring on Sean Kelly for Meades, who unfortunately had to limp off following that coming-together with Vincelot.
43min: YELLOW CARD - Romain Vincelot is booked for a robust challenge on Meades as the pair contested a 50-50 ball just inside City's half of the pitch.
39min: Wyke curls over with an effort from the edge of the box.
38min: Jones does brilliantly well to race onto McMahon flighted ball over the top and keep it in play by the byline. Brushing past Charles, Jones moves into the penalty area before going down. There are a few polite appeals from some in claret and amber but it seems Jones unfortunately just stumbled over. Referee Mr Busby waves away any appeals.
35min: Nicky Law takes aim from roughly twenty yards out but the driven effort is straight at McDonnell.
29min: GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bradford City 1 AFC Wimbledon 0 - The Bantams have the lead! McMahon makes no mistake from the resulting spot-kick, firing low into the 'keeper's bottom right-hand corner with a powerful effort.
28min: PENALTY TO THE BANTAMS! City have a penalty when Josh Cullen is bundled over from behind in the box by Jonathan Meades.
22min: Jones finds Wyke this time around but City's number nine also fails to quite hit the target, firing wide with a similar shot from just outside the box.
20min: Wyke's pass out to Jones finds the attacker in space but his low angled drive from the edge of the box is dragged comfortably wide of McDonnell's goal.
18min: Marshall's fizzing cross into the six yard box is dropped by McDonnell but the 'keeper is just about able to gather up at the second attempt ahead of Darius Charles and Wyke.
14min: Tony McMahon's ball over the top has Jones interested but McDonnell comes to very edge of his own penalty area to claim the attempted pass narrowly before the striker.
11min: Another threatening cross from Marshall has Wyke interested but Will Nightingale does just enough by the far post to bundle the ball ball for a corner.
10min: Mark Marshall's searching cross towards the far post finds Jones lurking but the striker's side-footed effort on the half-volley bounces into the ground and then over Joe McDonnell's crossbar.
2min: We are back underway once again, with Taylor able to carry on.
1min: There is a brief in play at present as Lyle Taylor receives treatment for a knock.
1min: Alex Jones and Charlie Wyke both look to get shots away around the edge of the area but Jake Reeves eventually kicks clear.
0min: The Bantams kick off the match. City will attack towards the T L Dallas Stand end in the first period.
3:01pm: An impeccable one minute's silence is held by those in the Northern Commercials Stadium to remember those affected by the 1985 Valley Parade fire disaster.
