BURY (AWAY) - FIVE TALKING POINTS

5 April 2017

Stuart McCall's Bantams make the short journey across the Pennines to Gigg Lane this Saturday (8 April 2017) to take on Bury in Sky Bet League One.

Ahead of City's latest League One fixture, www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk takes a look at five possible talking points for this weekend.

1. The Final Five
Following last Saturday's important victory over Walsall, McCall's men now have just five games left of the regular league season. The final five league fixtures - five more cup finals for McCall's men and the supporters to try and secure a spot in the end-of-season play-offs for the Club. As the the play-off battle intensifies, can City take a significant step towards a top six finish at Gigg Lane this Saturday? With Bury seventeenth in the league table and just three points off the relegation zone though, this Saturday's game will also be a crucial one for the hosts as well.

2. The City support
With only limited ticket numbers left now in the away end, another large City following is expected to back the Bantams at Gigg Lane on Saturday. As the season begins to reach its climax, that support is going to be needed more than ever when McCall's side take on the Shakers at the weekend.

3. Birthday bonus?
Interestingly, three members of City's squad have their birthdays this week. James Meredith celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, while Josh Cullen (Friday) and Timothee Dieng (Sunday) have their birthdays coming up either side of the Bury match. Can any of them help make it a weekend to enjoy for the Bantams?

4. Familiar opponents
Thanks to previous cup ties in the FA Cup and the Checkatrade Trophy, this Saturday's encounter will be City's seventh match with Bury in less than two seasons. The Bantams have won two of the previous six recent match-ups, drawing three and losing the other game on penalties.

5. The City set-up?
McCall certainly hasn't been afraid to make tweaks to his formation in recent games in a bid to mastermind City to success. What line up and formation with the City chief use at Gigg Lane though?
