Bantams boss Stuart McCall says Easter Monday's Yorkshire derby at newly-promoted Sheffield United will have no bearing on his team selection for the Good Friday home match with Oxford United.
Following last weekend's success at Bury, McCall's men welcome Oxford to the Northern Commercials Stadium on Friday looking to further strengthen their current position in the League One top six.
The Oxford game is, of course, one part of a Easter double-header for City, with the Bantams due to travel to Bramall Lane just three days later for a eagerly-anticipated local fixture against a Blades side who could be crowned league champions by that stage.
McCall admits that he possibly would have looked to have managed his squad through these two games if the quick-fire matches had come earlier in the season.
With the City chief keen to go all out for victory against Oxford at this crucial stage of the season though, McCall says that the upcoming Sheff Utd game won't be a factor when it comes to his picking his team for Friday.
McCall said: "Up until now, I've always had half an eye on the next game when we've had two matches in quick succession.
"It won't be the case on this occasion though.
"Our focus at present is solely on Oxford.
"Obviously I have done my homework on certain aspects of Sheffield United during this week to keep myself in the know, but we will only turn our attention to Monday's match once the final whistle goes on Friday.
"Regarding our starting XI and our set-up for Friday, Monday's game will have no impact on it.
"I've probably said to the lads a few times this season that we will play them in one particular game and rest them for the other.
"There will be no message like this to the players this time around. The only message will be to focus on Friday."
Charlie Wyke has been passed fit to feature despite picking up a knock to his ankle at Bury, while the likes of Jordy Hiwula and Nicky Law will be pushing for recalls after impressing off the bench at Gigg Lane.
"They all did well when they came on, and Stephen Darby is another player we know we can call upon as well. His attitude in training has been top class, he is a superb professional.
"It is good to have those options but whoever plays though, it will be a case of going from the first whistle to the last.
"We know those selected will have to give us everything they've got.
"It has been successful for us up to now, and we must continue to do that."
