McCall's men head to Bramall Lane this Monday just 48 hours after the Blades were crowned Sky Bet League One champions for the season following Bolton Wanderers' recent defeat at Oldham Athletic.
United's title success is likely to mean a party atmosphere in the home stands but McCall is still bracing himself for a tough test from the division's top team despite them having already claimed the League One crown.
The City chief is confident his players have the ability to rise to the occasion, with McCall believing that the 3-3 home draw with the Blades earlier this season is proof that the Bantams can go toe-to-toe with their South Yorkshire opponents.
He said: "This will be a great occasion. It is certainly a game we should relish, not fear at all.
"We must relish the atmosphere and the occasion.
"They will have a tremendous backing, I'm sure there will be a good noise from their fans following the weekend's news, but we will have a big support in the ground also.
"Sheffield have obviously now been crowned champions, and deservedly so, but I think we saw in our first match with them back in October that we were able to give as good as we got.
"We know we will have to be at our very best, but we are confident we can get something out of the game.
"There will be a lot of key individual battles out there, some players knowing each other very well.
"It is two sides coming up against each other who are both in good form.
"I went to their game with Millwall a few weeks ago and the pitch looks in excellent condition so it should give us the opportunity to get the ball down and play.
"We know we will need total focus for what will be a very tough game, but the aim is to make it a tough game for them as well.
"Thankfully, we have no new injuries from Friday (vs Oxford) so it is just a case now of committing to a team and shape for the game."
