The Bantams kicked off their Checkatrade Trophy campaign for the 2017/2018 season with a 4-2 victory over Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium.
Goals from Omari Patrick, Alex Jones (2) and Jacob Hanson proved enough to claim victory for City and move them to top of Group F after the first round of matches.
