THREE-MATCH BAN CONFIRMED FOR VINCELOT

10 August 2017

Bantams skipper Romain Vincelot will miss City's next three matches following his dismissal in Tuesday's Carabao Cup Round 1 tie with Doncaster Rovers.

Vincelot was given a straight red card for a tackle on Doncaster's Alfie May in the second period.

Following confirmation from the Football Association this Thursday, City now know that Vincelot will sit out the next three Sky Bet League One fixtures against Gillingham (12 August 2017), Blackburn Rovers (19 August) and Walsall (26 August).

Speaking in his pre-match press event ahead of City's trip to Gillingham this Saturday, Bantams boss Stuart McCall confirmed that Tony McMahon, if selected, will act as captain in Vincelot's absence for the three fixtures.
