TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY | THE CONFIRMED DEALS WITH CITY CONNECTIONS

31 August 2017

The last day in August can only mean one thing, it is Transfer Deadline Day!

Ahead of today's (Thursday) deadline day, the Bantams moved in the transfer market on Wednesday to bring in central defender Adam Thompson on loan until the end of the season.

There are bound to be plenty of incomings and outgoings across the country and throughout the divisions during the day this Thursday, but which ones have City connections?

Let's take a look at any of the confirmed deals so far that have a link with the Bantams or that could affect Stuart McCall's side.

Clayton Donaldson - Birmingham City to Sheffield United (undisclosed)
Experienced attacker Donaldson made his move to Bramall Lane in the closing stages of the 31 August. Donaldson was born in Manningham, just a stone's throw from the Northern Commercials Stadium. Donaldson was a boyhood Bradford City fan and spent a period in the club's academy ranks as a youngster.

Oliver McBurnie - Swansea City to Barnsley (loan)
Former Bantams striker McBurnie joined Barnsley on a season-long loan on Thursday evening. Having come through the youth set-up at City, McBurnie featured in the Bantams' first team squad for two seasons, making his full debut in 2013. McBurnie was eventually sold to Swansea City in July 2015.

Jacob Butterfield - Derby County to Sheffield Wednesday (loan)
Midfielder Butterfield was another late mover in the transfer window. Butterfield sealed a season-long loan deal to Sheffield Wednesday towards the end of transfer deadline day. The 27 year-old was born in Bradford.

Jordan Graham - Wolverhampton Wanderers to Fulham (loan)
Graham has joined Fulham from Wolves on loan for the remainder of the season. The winger spent a brief period on loan with the Bantams during the 2013/2014 season.

Nahki Wells - Huddersfield Town to Burnley (£5 million)
Former Bantams striker Nahki Wells has left West Yorkshire neighbours Huddersfield Town, moving across the Pennines to join Burnley. Wells spent two and a half years at Valley Parade before his move to Huddersfield in January 2014.

Other notable moves in Sky Bet League One on summer deadline day include...

Marvin Johnson - Oxford United to Middlesbrough (undisclosed)
Alex Bruce - Bury to Wigan Athletic (free)
Alex Mowatt - Barnsley to Oxford United (loan)
Eoin Doyle - Preston North End to Oldham Athletic (loan)
John Mousinho - Burton Albion to Oxford United (free)
Stuart O'Keefe - Cardiff City to Portsmouth (loan)
Jamie Allen - Rochdale to Burton Albion (undisclosed)
Alex Gilbey - Wigan Athletic to Milton Keynes Dons (undisclosed)
Lee Novak - Charlton Athletic to Scunthorpe United (free)
