BIG MATCH PREVIEW | OXFORD UNITED (HOME)

29 December 2017

Stuart McCall's Bantams welcome Oxford United to the Northern Commercials Stadium this Saturday (30 December 2017) for their final Sky Bet League One fixture of 2017.

McCall's men go into the Oxford encounter looking to get back to winning ways after recent defeats against AFC Wimbledon and Peterborough United.

Opponents Oxford began their period of festive fixtures with a crushing 7-0 home loss to Wigan Athletic last weekend.

The U's responded to that stunning defeat with a hard-fought draw at Gillingham on Boxing Day - their third successive drawn fixture away from home in recent weeks.

Team News

Bradford City
With City's New Year's Day match at Fleetwood Town just two days after, McCall has hinted that he will make changes to his side for the visit of Oxford to Valley Parade this weekend.

In a bid keep his squad fresh over this busy extended weekend, McCall could look to give starting berths to the likes of Timothee Dieng, Jake Reeves and Nathaniel Knight-Percival - all of whom started Peterborough Boxing Day fixture from the bench.

Tom Field, Shay McCartan and Omari Patrick are also possible options for McCall should he wish to mix things up.

Colin Doyle, Dominic Poleon, Adam Chicksen and Alex Jones remain sidelined.

Oxford United
U's boss Pep Clotet made as many as six changes to his side for the Gillingham Boxing Day match following the heavy Wigan loss.

Experienced defender Mike Williamson, along with talented playmakers Jack Payne, James Henry and Alex Mowatt, all started on the bench at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

Agon Mehmeti is back in contention after a hamstring problem, although Charlie Raglan, Sam Long, Rob Hall, Curtis Nelson and Ivo Pekalski all remain unavailable through injury.
