CHANGES TO CLUB TWITTER ACCOUNTS

8 December 2017

The club has recently merged our Twitter accounts, meaning @officialbantams is now your one-stop shop for all things Bradford City on Twitter!

To help our supporters understand why we’ve made these changes, we would like to share the rationale behind our decision and further explain how we hope to better serve our fans.

We believe that by driving conversations to one account, we will be able to better assign resources to answer our fans’ questions. We believe this will result in a much better experience for all our supporters.

It also became apparent that followers of the subsidiary accounts could regularly miss important announcements. As @commercialbcafc had only 2,262 followers and @Bcafc_Tickets just 2,487, these micro-audiences were very small in relation to the 85,000 who follow @officialbantams.

According to statistics from Twiangulate.com, we noted that  66% of followers of @BCAFC_Tickets followed @officialbantams, with 77% of followers of @commercialbcafc also following our main account. Based on this information, we believe that most fans will still have access to all the information they need, without having to check multiple accounts.

As we continue to develop a robust digital marketing strategy, we are constantly seeking to grow our audience online. With conversations now taking place exclusively via @officialbantams we hope to improve the way in which we engage with fans.

Fans can expect more as we continue to improve our customer experience online, and we hope fans understand the motivations behind our Twitter activity. Remember to follow @officialbantams for all the latest news.
