REEVES | WE WANT TO REPAY THE FANS

1 December 2017

Bantams midfielder Jake Reeves says City will be looking to repay the fans for their support by securing a spot in the Emirates FA Cup third round this weekend.

The Bantams take on Plymouth Argyle in the second round of the FA Cup at the Northern Commercials Stadium this Saturday, with the club aiming to attract a sizeable crowd to the tie to help cheer on Stuart McCall's men.

Reeves is fully aware of the influential City's fans can potentially have on Saturday's tie, and he is eager to help the Bantams go one better after losing out to Plymouth in the league just three week ago.

Reeves said: "The fans' support is going to be absolutely crucial to us in the FA Cup this Saturday.

"We need as many supporters down at the ground as we can get really.

"We owe the fans after losing in the league game to Plymouth, so we want to give the supporters something back.

"We want to repay them for that home defeat.

"The fans were brilliant with us throughout that game. They stayed with us the whole match, and we will need that again on Saturday.

"It is no coincidence that we play well when the crowd is up and right behind us.

"Any support we get will be massive for the lads.

"We know the FA Cup is different to the league. One loss and you are out.

"We will be going all out for this one, as we always do, and trying to score some goals.

"There is a huge prize at stake on Saturday - a place in the third round draw - so we are going to need everyone behind us at the weekend.

"We don't want to get knocked out on Saturday.

"We need our fans behind us, and we want to impress them and give them something to cheer about."
