Bantams boss Stuart McCall says City must concentrate on turning performances into points ahead of this Saturday's (18 February 2017) eagerly anticipated home fixture with Bolton Wanderers.

With both sides currently in the play-off positions, City will entertain Bolton this weekend in front of what is expected to be a bumper crowd at the Northern Commercials Stadium.

McCall's men will head into the encounter with Bolton, now managed by former City boss Phil Parkinson, looking to return to winning ways after a frustrating recent run of league games.

The Bantams have drawn two and lost one of their last three fixtures, despite arguably being the better side in each contest.

McCall believes City must look to work on being more ruthless when it matters to deny opposing teams any chance to get back at them.

The City chief said: "The last three games have been a continuing theme of us not getting the points our performances have deserved.

"We certainly need to get back to picking up clean sheets.

"We have to work on our concentration levels defensively without that taking anything away from our attacking intent.

"In fairness to the lads though, we seem to have been punished for every little mistake recently.

"We still have the second best defensive record in the division, and it isn't like teams are creating loads of scores chances against us, but we are getting punished for lapses and need to work on those concentration levels.

"We know there will be plenty of ups and downs between now and the end of the season, you only have to look at Bolton to see that.

"They had a slightly sticky patch recently but now come into Saturday's game with back-to-back home wins.

"We must look to do that ourselves now, bounce back and put a winning sequence together.

"Tuesday's defeat at Fleetwood was only our fifth in thirty-two league games this season.

"The loss certainly hasn't affected the morale and belief around the camp - we are very much looking forward to Saturday's challenge."
