Bantams boss Stuart McCall says he will delay naming his team for as long as possible for Tuesday's home encounter with MK Dons due to some injury and illness issues currently within the camp.

The City chief has revealed that he has some question marks over members of his squad following Saturday's morale-boosting 2-1 away victory at Port Vale.

City's match-winner from Saturday, Alex Jones, is pushing for possible starting berth after coming through the Vale game unscathed following a recent hip problem.

Mark Marshall, who missed the Vale win due to a hamstring problem, will be assessed pre-match before the visit of the Dons to the Northern Commercials Stadium.

McCall said: "We have a few bumps and bruises from Saturday, so we haven't named the team yet.

"We will name it in the dressing room ahead of the match.

"One or two have knocks going into this one (vs MK Dons), and there is also little bit of illness around, but Jonah (Alex Jones) came through fine from the weekend.

"The decision now will be whether to start him or not on Tuesday night.

"If we do start him, he'll probably only be able to do an hour or so, while there is also the option to have him on the bench again.

"It might depend on who else is available to us.

"Marshy came though the work with the physio fine today (Monday) - there didn't seem to be any recurrence.

"How he feels when he wakes up in the (Tuesday) morning though, we won't know yet so there can't be any guarantees.

"Obviously we had the situation last week where on the Thursday we thought Alex Jones wouldn't be playing, and then he ends up scoring the winner on the Saturday.

"The hope is that he can play a role from the start or from the bench, but we might be best to leave him until Saturday (vs Peterborough United) if there are any doubts.

"Marshy, like a couple of others in the squad, will be one of those that we will have to see how they are tomorrow (Tuesday)."
