New striker Alex Jones has been handed an instant debut for the Bantams in their first home fixture of 2017 in Sky Bet League One.

Jones, who joined the club from Birmingham City on Thursday, will partner Jordy Hiwula in attack for the visit of Chesterfield to the Northern Commercials Stadium.

Following his eye-catching display after coming off the bench at Northampton Town on Monday, Mark Marshall has been recalled into City boss Stuart McCall's starting XI.

Tony McMahon also returns to the side, getting the nod ahead of Stephen Darby to start the game in City's right back slot.

McCall has decided to err on the side of caution with regards James Hanson after the striker picked up a knock in training this week.

With Hanson out of City's match-day eighteen for the Spireites match, young attackers Reece Webb-Foster and Ellis Hudson have both been included among the Bantams' substitutes.
