BACK TO WORK FOR THE BANTAMS ON DAY THREE IN AUSTRIA

13 July 2017

After being given Wednesday afternoon off to rest, recuperate and enjoy the beautiful local scenery, Stuart McCall's Bantams were back hard at work on the training ground on Thursday.

City's third full day in Kleinwalsertal saw McCall's men go back to double training sessions.

The morning session saw the Bantams undertake more intensive football-based drills, with a hard running programme added on at the end.

The afternoon programme consisted of a series of finishing drills and some outside gym-work for the vast majority of the group.

A small selection of the squad who were carrying slight knocks and niggles from earlier in the day took part in a session in the swimming pool with club physios instead.

The decision to remove those few players from the main afternoon section of training was seen as a precautionary one - no need to take any risks at this stage of pre-season.

City now have one full day left in Austria - Friday - before going across the border intp Germany for their match with TV Echterdingen in Stuttgart on Saturday.
