Bantams boss Stuart McCall says City will be bringing the strongest squad possible with them to Bradford Park Avenue this Saturday (8 July 2017) for their opening pre-season fixture of the summer.
McCall's men return to action at Horsfall Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick off 3:00pm) following the off-season summer break.
As City begin their preparations for the forthcoming 2017/2018 campaign, McCall is expected to give virtually all of his first team squad - including recent signings Shay McCartan and Jake Reeves - some game-time against Avenue.
Summer recruit Paul Taylor is the only senior player who may miss out against City's near neighbours, however, after missing the first two days of training this week with food poisoning.
Young professionals Callum Gunner, Ellis Hudson, Alex Laird and Curtis Peters are in line to feature in an U21s friendly fixture at Harrogate Town's CNG Stadium on Saturday (kick 11:00am).
McCall is expected to field two largely different teams during the game at Horsfall Stadium - one per half - against an Avenue side managed by former Bantams defender Mark Bower.
Looking ahead to City's opening friendly, McCall said: "We'll be using the full squad for this one. They will be getting 45 minutes each.
"We will be taking as strong a squad as we can do, but we know the lads are not quite up to playing more than one half at the moment.
"We like this fixture - it is good for the two sides of the city - and we've managed to fit it in at the start (of pre-season) ahead of the next week's time in Austria and Germany."
