McCALL | LET'S TAKE OUR CHANCE

1 May 2017

Bantams boss Stuart McCall knows his players will give it everything they've got to make it to a 'dream' Wembley final when they face Fleetwood Town twice in four days in the Sky Bet League One Play-Offs.

Results on the final day of the regular league season on Sunday mean McCall's men will play Fleetwood over the course of two semi-finals for a place in the grand final at Wembley Stadium later this month.

The Bantams will host Fleetwood this Thursday night before travelling to Highbury Stadium for the return leg on Sunday evening.

The City chief is anticipating a tight and keenly-fought play-off contest with Fleetwood over the two legs, but he feels the Bantams have every chance if they play to their maximum.

McCall said: "We have managed to finish the season off strongly, particularly at home, and that will give the lads good confidence and belief going into these games.

"Equally though, we know that we will have to be at our very best both on Thursday and on Sunday should we wish to be successful.

"I don't think there is anything between the two sides really. It could even come down to a bit of luck or a moment of brilliance.

"Both teams will prepare meticulously for these games but it is a case of going out and producing it on the pitch.

"This is a great position for us to be in - we have a 50% chance of making to Wembley.

"That has been the carrot for the players all season.

"The message to the players now is simply to go out, grab your dream and make it a reality.

"We will need the fans, as they have been all season, to be in strong voice from the very first whistle to the very last over the course of these two games.

"We have talked for a couple of months now about finishing the season strongly and bringing success to the football club.

"Getting to the play-offs is definitely an achievement but, like the other three clubs in here with us, we know we have a chance of promotion now.

"We have to focus hard on these two games first though, give it all we've got, and let's see where that takes us."
