McCALL AND MARSHALL NOMINATED FOR MONTHLY AWARDS

3 May 2017

Bantams boss Stuart McCall and winger Mark Marshall have been nominated for April's Sky Bet League One Manager and Player of the Month awards respectively.

McCall has been shortlisted for the Manager of the Month award for April after recently guiding City to four wins and a draw - a run of results that confirmed the Club's place in the end-of-season play-offs.

The Bantams' only defeat during the month of April actually came away at champions Sheffield United.

The other nominees for the managerial award are Fleetwood Town boss Uwe Rosler, Sheff Utd's Chris Wilder and Scunthorpe United manager Graham Alexander.

Marshall, who claimed City's Player of the Year title last week, has been nominated for the Player of the Month award after another impressive spell with McCall's men.

The 29 year-old scored during the wins over Bury and AFC Wimbledon, moving him onto six goals for the season so far.

He also set up Tony McMahon's second during the Wimbledon win and played a part in vital goals during games against Walsall and Oxford United.

Marshall has been shortlisted for the player award along with Bolton Wanderers' David Wheater, Charlton Athletic winger Ricky Holmes and Sheff Utd forward Leon Clarke.

The winners for the manager and player awards will be announced on Friday (5 May 2017) morning.
