DOYLE KEEPS HIS PLACE IN REPUBLIC OF IRELAND SQUAD

6 November 2017

Bantams goalkeeper Colin Doyle has kept his place in the Republic of Ireland's latest squad, as Eire boss Martin O'Neill trimmed his group by seven for the forthcoming World Cup qualifying play-offs with Denmark.

After originally being named in Ireland's provisional squad for their two games against the Scandinavian nation, Doyle has remained in O'Neill's plans and will join up with the rest of group this Monday (6 November 2017).

Ireland are due to play away to Denmark first this Saturday (11 November) before then hosting the Danes three days later - Tuesday 14 November - at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The winners of the two-legged contest will book their place in the main FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia next summer.
