The Northern Commercials Stadium will be hosting a special fundraising event this Thursday (9 November 2017), as City staff and supporters swap their beds for sleeping bags to support a charity that helps the homeless.

Those involved this Thursday evening will sleep out in the concourse area of the Club's JCT600 Main Stand for the Sleep Out Bradford event held in aid of the Centrepoint charity.

City Chief Operating Officer James Mason and Sales & Marketing Executive Thomas Davidson will be two of the around 150 participants to undertake the sleeping challenge.

A selection of City players, including Alex Jones and Alex Gilliead, will be on hand to see how the fundraisers are getting on, and fans not involved on the night can catch up with all the events throughout via 'Facebook Live'.

A similar sleep-out event at Bradford Bulls' Provident Stadium at Odsal last year raised £30,000.

Centrepoint is the UK's leading youth homelessness charity and works with more than 150 homeless young people in Bradford every day.

They provide accommodation and support to help people turn their lives around by gaining essential life skills, such as tackling physical and mental health issues and moving into education and/or employment.

Faye Edmondson, Centrepoint's Fundraising Manager, said: "Sleep Out is a thought-provoking challenge that everyone should try.

"It would be impossible to replicate the true terror of spending a night on the streets with nowhere to go - but you will feel the cold and experience the discomfort homeless people have to endure.

"Sleep Out is a lot of fun but there is a serious side to it. The money we raise will help support vulnerable and homeless young people gain the skills and confidence they need to find work or a return to education."
