BACKHOUSE TO TAKE CHARGE OF DONCASTER FIXTURE

28 September 2017

The Bantams' Yorkshire derby clash with Doncaster Rovers this Saturday (30 September 2017) will be officiated by Anthony Backhouse.

Mr Backhouse will take charge of the Doncaster game at the Northern Commercials Stadium after a busy recent period for the referee.

The match official has taken charge of four Sky Bet League One fixtures in an eleven-day spell, his most game in the middle coming in midweek when he officiated Oldham Athletic's 3-2 home win over Peterborough United.

This season is the first at EFL level for Mr Backhouse following his promotion up from the National Conference over the summer.

The Cumbria-based official took charge of twenty-three matches at National League level last season, including the Play-Off Final between Forest Green Rovers and Tranmere Rovers at Wembley Stadium.

The assistant referees for Saturday's Doncaster fixture will be Alan Clayton and Paul Graham.

The fourth official at the Northern Commercials Stadium Kevin Mulraine.
