Since the initiative began last season, the Club’s #BantamsCommunity programme has continued to go from strength to strength. Over the last year, hundreds of tickets have been donated by our Community Partner, Provident which have been used to support a number of local good causes and charities in their fund-raising activities.
With Provident’s backing hundreds of tickets have already been funded, which have enabled schools, community organisations, disability groups and other individuals to come watch their heroes on a Saturday afternoon.
#BantamsCommunity aims to help Bradfordians with their fundraising objectives.
Just a few weeks ago, Ros Horne, Early Years Leader at Thackley Primary School contacted Bradford City to see if they could assist in raising funds for a much-needed new reading garden & library for the Primary School. With Provident’s support, the Club were able to donate 4 tickets which were then used as a prize for a silent auction.
Ros comments “Thackley Primary School are happy to announce that the Marks family made the highest bid for the Bradford City tickets in the PTA Silent Auction. All the money raised will go towards a Reading Garden and the New Library. We would like to thank Bradford City Football Club, Provident and #BantamsCommunity for their kind donation of four tickets to the home game against Doncaster Rovers!”
Throughout the season, you’ll find out how the partnership has provided match day tickets for numerous good causes in and around the City of Bradford, including Beechcliffe Special School, Forget Me Not Hospice, Low Ash Primary School, Scholemoor Beacon CIC and Shorts Circuits Care Club.
