Match official Graham Horwood will take charge of City's Sky Bet League One fixture at Northampton Town on Saturday (23 September 2017).
Mr Horwood has officiated 6 games so far this 2017/2018 campaign, his most recent fixture being Grimsby Town's 2-1 home win over Yeovil Town at the weekend.
He was in the middle for 31 matches last season, two of them being City's away fixtures at AFC Wimbledon and Swindon Town.
The Luton-based referee will be joined by assistant referees David Plowright and Stephen Wade at the Sixfields Stadium.
The fourth official for City's match against the Cobblers will be Aji Ajibola.
