Bradford City Football Club have been made aware of alleged racist comments made towards a Rotherham United player as he was cooling down following this Saturday’s (16 September 2017) Sky Bet League One fixture at the Northern Commercials Stadium.

Bradford City do not tolerate any form of discriminatory behaviour towards any player, official, supporter or any other individual attending a fixture at the Northern Commercials Stadium.

Like our friends at Rotherham United, Bradford City operates a zero tolerance policy on discrimination of any kind.

Following the alleged comments after the match, the incident was reported directly to the match referee and Bradford City club officials.

The Club have been given a first name for the individual believed to be involved and also have CCTV footage of the incident.

The Club will work closely with Rotherham United and the West Yorkshire Police to continue our investigation into this incident, confirm the individual involved and take appropriate action.

The Club issued an apology to Rotherham United and to the player in question after the game on Saturday, but we would like to once again apologise for any distress and offence caused by the incident.

Any supporter(s) who feel they may have information that could be helpful can contact the Club in confidence via footballadmin@bradfordcityfc.co.uk .
