Bradford City are delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Nicholson as the club’s new performance coach.

Nicholson began work with the Bantams earlier this week, after switching Premier League Manchester City for the Northern Commercials Stadium.

He previously held roles with Halifax Town, following time in rugby league representing Bradford Bulls and England.

“It is a huge honour to be taking up a role with such a fantastic club, coming here was a no-brainer for me,” said Nicholson.

“I will be working to combine sports science and conditioning as we look to keep the players in peak shape.

“Having worked at both non-league and Premier League level, I am very much looking forward to applying my practises at such a big club.

“There are plenty of little wins we can achieve straight from the off. We have assessed the players and are monitoring the intensity levels of training.

“The coaching staff have been very receptive and the players are already responding well. Everyone is keen to work hard here.”

Tickets for Saturday’s trip to Fleetwood Town remain on sale and can be purchased by visiting the Northern Commercials Stadium Ticket Office (kick-off 3.00pm).

Meanwhile, tickets for City’s Sky Bet League One trip to Blackpool, taking place a week on Saturday, are set to go on sale tomorrow.
