Bradford City have completed the signing of rising star Lewis O’Brien.
O’Brien has agreed a season-long loan deal with the Bantams, arriving from Premier League Huddersfield Town.
The 19-year-old agreed a new three-year deal with the Terriers in May, after being named Academy Player of the Year at the John Smith’s Stadium.
O’Brien said: “This is a brilliant opportunity for me, coming to such a big club.
“I want to prove myself at this level and I am looking forward to getting started.
“I am looking to make an impact straight from the off. It is important I get off to a good start. I want to help the team kick on.
“I will bring a great deal of enthusiasm. I will be looking to get on the ball as often as possible and supply the forwards with the service they need.
“I am a box-to-box player. I want to make chances and help the team keep clean sheets.”
City head coach Michael Collins added: “We have been monitoring Lewis for some time and have liked what we have seen.
“He is young and very hungry to succeed. He will bring a great deal of energy and has a desire to achieve at first-team level.”
O’Brien’s signing is subject to standard FA and EFL clearances, though he could feature as soon as tomorrow’s game against Fleetwood Town.
