CITY BOSS DEMANDING 'ORGANISED APPROACH'

David Hopkin is demanding an organised approach from his Bantams ahead of their third festive fixture in seven days.

City travel to the Crown Oil Arena to take on a Rochdale side who sit 16th in Sky Bet League One.

Manager Hopkin believes his side’s recent progress will help them see off a “tricky” Rochdale outfit.

He said: “We have had a hectic schedule recently, but it has been enjoyable as we have shown progression.

“We are looking forward to the game tomorrow but know we are in for a difficult game against a side near us on the league table.

“They have picked up two good wins in their last two games, which will have boosted their confidence.

“Keith Hill is a very good, experienced manager and he has a strong squad which can be changed at any time.

“We will go there with the belief we can get something from the game, as we do with every match we play.

“We have to be organised to ensure we are difficult to play against, as we have been over the last few weeks.”

The City boss revealed Luca Colville is close to returning to action and could feature in the Bantams’ New Year’s Day clash at home to Accrington Stanley.

However, Kelvin Mellor is set to be sidelined for a further three weeks - after missing the last two games with a knee injury.

Hopkin added: “It is unfortunate for Kelvin and for the team because he had been playing well before he got injured.

“He has had an injection in his knee, which will help it settle down, and he should come back within three weeks.

“Other players are recovering well, like Luca Colville, who should return soon. The next couple of games will be about managing the squad we have available going into January.

“It is difficult when you enter this period of games, with a small squad available, which is the case here.

“We have to manage everything and make sure everyone is fit and raring to go in two difficult games against Rochdale and Accrington.”

Supporters travelling to the Crown Oil Arena without a ticket tomorrow can pay on the gate.

Admission is priced at £22 (adults), £16 (over-65s and under-21s) and £5 (under-16s), while under-2s go FREE.

More than 1,100 tickets have been sold - but over 2,300 seats will be available on the matchday.
