Bantams boss Stuart McCall held his usual pre-match press conference this Thursday ahead of City's Northampton Town home fixture this weekend.

Moving on from Yeovil
Following the disappointment of last Saturday's exit in the Emirates FA Cup, McCall says he is keen for the group to move on and focus on bouncing back against Northampton at the Northern Commercials Stadium. McCall said: "It was a difficult start to the week but the hangover is finished now. We know the Yeovil performance was unacceptable - it was the first real poor one from us this season - but the only way to move on from it now is by putting in a good performance against Northampton on Saturday. The lads are aware they let everyone down last weekend, but there is no better way to respond that coming back with a strong display at home in front of your own supporters."
Looking for more of the same at home
Saturday's game will be City's first home fixture of the calendar year. In the club's previous match at Valley Parade - their final game of 2017 against Oxford United - McCall's men played some outstanding stuff at times on their way to an entertaining 3-2 victory. McCall said: "Looking back at that Oxford game, the first half performance in particular was one of the best displays I've seen from any side in this division so far this season. We must look to reproduce that same sort of performance again against Northampton. We have some good positive memories from our last game on home soil and from our recent league games if you include the win at Fleetwood as well."
Injury update
McCall says that City quartet - Nathaniel Knight-Percival, Rouven Sattelmaier, Jake Reeves and Matthew Kilgallon - should all be in contention for a place in Saturday's match-day squad. Knight-Percival, Sattelmaier and Reeves all missed the Yeovil defeat, while Kilgallon had to hobble off at half-time against the Glovers. On the flip side, however, the City chief has also confirmed that the Bantams do have new injury concerns to contend with ahead of Saturday. McCall revealed: "Killa (Matthew Kilgallon) will be ok. We should have Nat (Knight-Percival) and Reevesy back as well. Rouven has trained today (Thursday) and should also be available. Unfortunately though, we will have another few missing, Omari (Patrick) being one of them. He twisted his knee in the reserves on Tuesday and could be out for about a month or so. Tony (McMahon) isn't available through injury either. We've also had a spot of illness in the camp. That means I don't think we will be any better numbers-wise for this Saturday. We might even be struggling to fill a full bench. When there is a bit of adversity, it is all about standing up and being counted. Those available must go out, fight with everything they've got, and put in a strong performance."
McCall on the transfer window
Saturday's game with Northampton will be City's third out of six during the month of January. On top of preparing his side for upcoming matches, though, McCall also has to factor in plans for potential in-comings and out-goings during the mid-season transfer window. McCall said: "It certainly does change your schedule for the week. I've had meetings with Greg (Abbott) and Edin (Rahic) this week to talk about targets. We have put bids in but it is never that straight-forward. A lot of clubs don't accept your first bid. You have to work hard to find some middle ground, all the while hoping other clubs don't get involved. Even if you do get something accepted, you then have to finalise the move and agree terms with the player. You have to be ready for all possibilities. Because of the injury situation we have at the moment, we might also look at bringing some loans players in as well to help with the squad depth. We are looking to strength the squad as soon as we can. Other teams are also making moves though. We saw that with Yeovil bringing in four players ahead of our game last weekend, while Northampton have already brought in five (players). You have to look out for that when making your plans for a game."
