Tyrell Robinson has given the Bantams the perfect New Year's boost by putting pen to paper on a fresh contract.

The highly rated left sided player signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal with City this Tuesday which will keep him at the Northern Commercials Stadium until the end of the 2019/2020 season.
A string of impressive performances from the 20 year-old has seen him become a regular starter for Stuart McCall's men in recent weeks scoring twice in important League wins.
Robinson began City's last six league and cup games in 2017, with the former Arsenal youngster excelling at both left back and as a left winger.
He managed to pop up with the all-important match-winner against Rochdale at the beginning of last month, adding to his first for the club when he scored an injury time winner at Wigan Athletic back in November.
Robinson's pace, ability to take on opponents and well placed deliveries have caught the eye of many supporters and other clubs since his breakthrough into the first team and reinforce one of the club's recruitment strategies by investing in the very best youth talent.

Robinson, pictured above with City joint-owner Edin Rahic, said: "I am happy with the way I have been playing this season, but I know I must keep playing well and keep improving to show people it was the right decision to give me this new deal.

"If I'm being honest, pre-season was hard for me.

"I was struggling a lot with the running and all the boys were way ahead of me.

"I was speaking to my family members at the time and thinking 'this isn't going to work out for me'.

"I didn't feel I'd made a good impression at first.

"A lot of hard work between now and then though with Shorty (Chris Short, fitness coach) has helped my conditioning a lot.

"Playing games and improving my fitness has obviously helped me a lot. I've been able to kick on recently and start to play games for the first team.

"Seeing Omari (Patrick) coming into the side at the start of the season and scoring on the opening day, I was like 'wow, I want to be part of this as well'.

"Myself and Omari are always looking back on our games and seeing how we can improve.

"We try and help each other and learn things off each other.

"I just want to keep improving my fitness and my overall game. I know I still have things to learn, especially in the left back position."
