The Bantams have been drawn in Group F in this season’s Checkatrade Trophy.
City have been drawn in the group alongside Barnsley and Oldham Athletic.
An invited Category 1 under 21 side will be joining the group, with that particular team set to be confirmed on Wednesday, July 18.
