Doyle Plays For Ireland in USA Friendly

3 June 2018

City goalkeeper Colin Doyle picked up his second cap in less than a week for the Republic of Ireland following friendly with the USA on Saturday.

Doyle, who also featured for Ireland in their match with France in Paris last Monday, kept goal for the whole match against the Americans at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin, on Saturday night.

Ireland ran out 2-1 winners over the United States thanks to substitute Alan Judge's late goal.

Following his outing against the US, Doyle now has four full caps for Ireland in total.

Along with his maiden cap collected back in 2007 while with Birmingham City, Doyle also featured for Ireland in a friendly fixture in Turkey earlier this year.

During his recent spell of international duty in the last couple of weeks, Doyle was named in an Ireland XI for Celtic midfielder Scott Brown's testimonial as well, although that match didn't count as a full cap.
