Bradford City sign left back, Connor Wood, from Leicester City F.C. on a 3 year contract.
Connor has secured a 3 year contract for an undisclosed fee with Bradford City F.C.
His contract with The Bantams, which is subject to the usual EFL and FA clearances will come into effect on from the 1st July.
Connor found himself scouted by Leicster City's development squad after being observed at the Nike Academy back in 2016. Upon joining the Premier League 2 side, he became a regular starter in their push for the title in the 2017/18 season.
Connor has shown great potential after being nominated for Development Squad Player of the Year last season. He will be wanting to build upon this success and is determined to progress his career in first team football.
We spoke to Connor about his new deal at the Club; “I’m really excited. It feels great. I’m honoured to be signing for such a big club with such a great history. I am delighted to be here”
“With the facilities, the back room staff and the players they have, I think I can learn a lot. It will be a real educational view in terms of football for me”
We asked Connor about the Club’s recent appointment of our Head Coach, Michael Collins, he said “I think he will be good for me. I’ll really excel under him. He seems like a really good coach and he will suit my kind of game”
“Physically I’m really good. Being able to get up and down the pitch for ninety minutes, I can do that quite easily”
“My hopes for this season are to break into the first team starting line-up and solidify my place”.

“He loves to get forward and has great delivery but by the same token knows how to defend and stop crosses”.
