Charlton Athletic will be one of City's opponents in Sky Bet League One next season after their place in the division was confirmed following Sunday's play-off defeat for the Addicks at Shrewsbury Town.
Having trailed 1-0 to the Shrews after the opening leg, Charlton were defeated by the same scoreline at Shrewsbury's Montgomery Waters Meadow on Sunday evening to see them lose out 2-0 overall on aggregate in their semi-final.
Charlton's defeat means that only three places now remain left to be filled in League One next season.
Two of those spots will be taken up by other unsuccessful teams in this season's League One Play-Offs, with the final place going to the winner of the League Two Play-Off Final.
