LEFTOVER PROGRAMMES FIND NEW HOMES

14 May 2018

Additional copies of The Parader 2017/18 will be donated to primary schools across Bradford.

Whether it’s Charlie Wyke, Matthew Kilgallon or Callum Guy, children across Bradford will have the opportunity to read their favourite players feature in our match-day programme, The Parader.

Hundreds of unused programmes from the previous season will be donated to the Bradford City Community Foundation, where the programmes will be given to primary schools across the city of Bradford.

The Bradford City Community Foundation work with groups and individuals of all ages, races, backgrounds, beliefs and abilities. The Community Foundation have a strong relationship with many schools across Bradford, including Shirley Manor Primary Academy in Wyke.

Shirley Manor's Year 2 class were the first to get their hands on an assortment of The Parader programmes. The class will be using our match-day programmes for their 'World Cup' topic which will start in a few weeks.

Adam Fox, Community Foundation Coach, believes donating programmes is a another way to engage all children, even if literacy isn't their favourite subject "Like any subject, not every child will engage in literacy. So if we can help in any small way by engaging these children through football, then we're happy".
